Wedding Veil

Wear a veil it becomes with diferent traditions.
On Western woman wear a veil on her wedding day, if she follows the traditions of a white wedding. Brides used to wear their hair flowing down their back at their wedding to symbolise their virginity, now the white diaphanous veil is often said to represent this, but now is often when you wear a wedding dress.

Types of Wedding Veil Lenght

Shoulder Length Veils

Shoulder length veil it comes with one layer and 18 to 30 inches long. The shoulder veil works well when you want to show off the back of a gown. It creates a less formal look, so it is usually worn at informal and daytime weddings.
When the shoulder veil comes with multiple layers it will call flyaway veil.

Elbow length

This veil comes with informal length but generally ranges from 25 to 36 inches long and should end below a low backline but above the top of the skirt.
Normally it be used in combination with longer layers to create the bluster or face veil.
The elbow length looks good with gowns with no train or those with a full skirt.

Fingertip or wrist length veils

Fingertip veil is a long veil and it range from 36 to 50 inches long. It's very elegant when the the layer comes fingertips when the arms are relaxed. Generally, the fingertip should end between the middle knuckle and end of finger. Wrist length veils are a bit shorter.

Knee, waltz or ballet length veil

These all veils falls somewhere between the knee and ankle.
The knee length normally comes with 45 inchens. The waltz or ballet length is usually 54 to 60 inches long and should fall between the calf and ankle.

Chapel or floor length veil

It's a formal veil that extends to the floor and and may fall six inches or more past the train. It is usually tiered and ranges from 60 to 90 inches long. This veil it may comes to have multiple layers or blusher veil for a combination.

Cathedral or royal veil

The Cathedral veil or Royal veil is the most formal long veil. This Veil come with multiple layers or blusher veil and it's similar with the Chapel veil but it's much longer.This is a dramatically formal veil, trailing up to two feet or more behind the bride. The length ranges from 96 to 132 inches or longer and looks stunning with a cathedral train gown.

Blusher

The Blusher is a short part to cover the bride face during the ceremony and come with a elegant and soft apperance for the bride. The standard length is about 18 to 25 inches long.

Double Tier

It's a veil that comes with two layers, usually with different lenghts. Normally one of the layer is the blusher.

Fountain

A veil gathered at the crown of the head and cascading over the shoulders to form a "fountain" shape. Usually shoulder or elbow length.

Mantilla

Traditionally, the mantilla is a circular piece of tulle or lace with lace edges draped over a comb. An alternative to more traditional and formal veils, the mantilla is appropriate for formal and semi-formal weddings. May be any length in between elbow and ballet.
